AMC Networks' chief: On-demand viewing helps great shows thrive

On-demand viewing -- through both cable VOD and streaming services such as Netflix -- allows great television programs to rise to the top, says Josh Sapan, president and CEO of AMC Networks. Sapan says viewers' ability to catch up on past seasons of shows and bring their friends into the fold has helped AMC hits such as "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" build their audiences each season, bucking the usual TV trend.
