German seed firm plans to sell certain operations to Monsanto

Monsanto plans to purchase the oilseed rape and rye seed business, as well as the corn and sunflower-seed distribution operations of German firm Dieckmann. "We expect the investment to improve our ability to deliver high performance hybrid oilseed rape seeds to our farmer customers as well as to increase the assortment of hybrid seeds we can provide," Monsanto Germany's Björn Neumann said.
