High-salt diet, H. pylori may increase cancer risk

An animal study found a high-salt diet combined with Heliobacter pylori bacteria significantly increased the risk of stomach cancer. Vanderbilt University researchers reported that the oncoprotein cagA produced by H. pylori is a key part of the increased cancer risk.
