How retailers' surveillance cameras assist in crime solving

Authorities used surveillance video from Lord & Taylor to identify bombing suspects this week, the latest and most high-profile example of the ways cameras that were installed to thwart retailers' losses are helping solve other crimes. Stores' cameras have aided law enforcement in a variety of investigations including child abductions and drug deals, said NRF vice president Rich Mellor.
