Local social ads are seen taking a larger share of all mobile spend

Spending on mobile advertising is expected to increase by almost $5 billion through 2017, with local social ad spend gradually accounting for a growing share of the total, according to a forecast from BIA/Kelsey. The report predicts a compound annual growth rate of 26.4% between 2012 and 2017 for local social, taking this category to a third of all mobile ad spend.
