NICE gives nod to rivaroxaban as treatment for pulmonary embolism

The U.K.'s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has endorsed the use of anti-clotting drug rivaroxaban in patients with pulmonary embolism. The decision gives doctors an alternative to combined heparin and warfarin to reduce the risk of a repeat embolism.
