The Madison, N.J., Board of Education has chosen Singapore Math for its elementary schools, largely because of the "stellar track record of the program," said Kathryn Lemerich, Madison Public Schools' mathematics and business supervisor. The program brings training for teachers, with students in grades K-2 starting to use new textbooks in the fall and grades 3-5 starting the following year, school officials said.
