Preparing for the end of Windows XP support

Microsoft has announced its intentions to end support for Windows XP in April 2014, which could cause some problems for businesses that still use the operating system, writes Dave Johnson. Windows XP will become increasingly susceptible to malware after Microsoft stops releasing updates, and vendors may soon cease support for the operating system as well, he notes. Incentives are available to upgrade to Windows 8, but Windows 7 may also be a good choice, he writes.
