Study shows high-salt diet, H. pylori increase cancer risk

An animal study found a high-salt diet combined with Heliobacter pylori bacteria significantly increased the risk of stomach cancer. Vanderbilt University researchers reported in the journal Infection and Immunity that the oncoprotein cagA produced by H. pylori is a key part of the increased cancer risk.
