Study: Sleep apnea can be managed with diet, exercise

Obese adults with mild sleep apnea who participated in a one-year lifestyle-intervention program that included diet and exercise were less likely to have their symptoms worsen, according to a study from Finland published in JAMA Internal Medicine. "We should really think about weight reduction as a treatment for sleep apnea," lead researcher Dr. Henri Tuomilehto said.
