Volcano eruption a boon to videoconferencing industry

Cisco, which this week completed its $3.3 billion purchase of Tandberg, the maker of videoconferencing gear, says its conference centers are booked as business travelers try to work around flight restrictions caused by the Icelandic volcano. Meanwhile, the CEO of Norway-based Videoworks predicted that the volcano would have long-lasting effects on the videoconferencing industry as more business users experience the benefits of the technology.
