Hotel franchisors in China have the opportunity to practice new, innovative strategies as an economic shift in the country brings younger travelers more interested in domestic travel and an emerging middle class. "One can make the case for a notion that we're in a different era, an age in which constant surprise is a way of life. We need a way to address issues in a new paradigm. Focus on things at the core of being resilient and being adaptable," said Hyatt Hotels CEO Mark Hoplamazian, regarding the shift away from the current sense of austerity in China.
