Va. school district experiments with double math classes

Students in a Virginia school district are getting a double-dose of daily math as part of a pilot project to test whether expanded learning time will improve scores on Virginia's Standards of Learning exams. Teachers are using creative activities such as algebra bingo to help keep students engaged. In some classes, advanced math students provide extra tutoring.
