3D Imaging Could Improve Medical Diagnosis

A new high-tech system, optical projection tomography, creates a high-resolution 3D image of tissue, reports say. The images may lead to improvements in diagnosis using tissue biopsies from patients. The new system also may provide information about all the genes in the genome, including a 3D map of where the genes perform their functions.
