Location-based ads, coupons a hit with mobile users

A new survey reveals 26% of mobile-device owners use location-based services and are receptive to location-based advertising, with more than half responding to a marketing pitch. That's a primary reason mobile marketing is expected to boom in the next four years. Borrell Associates predicts mobile coupons will increase from $2.7 billion in 2009 to $57 billion in 2014, which represents a 84% annual growth rate.
