Report looks to the future of home-energy automation

In the future, people will routinely check in on their home automation systems to make sure they're optimizing the energy used by residential systems and appliances, according to a forward-looking report from GigaOm Pro and Pike Research. What's still to be determined is whether people will do that via in-wall dashboards, smartphones or some combination of the two.
