American Express OPEN President Susan Sobbott weighs in on the debate over whether women are afraid of money. "Asking for financing comes less naturally for a woman. She feels that she should do it on her own," writes Sobbott, who notes that business models are often secondary for women business owners behind mission and inspiration, while money usually comes first for male business owners. We must teach young girls not to "shy away from the numbers -- and especially from the money," she explains.
