In a Minnesota school district, which requires teachers to be trained in using social media in the classroom, educators are embracing once-banned tools, such as social media and hand-held devices. Some teachers say they use Edmodo, which is a social media site tailored to classroom needs. One teacher says she uses Twitter and Facebook to assign homework, and another teacher uses blogging to help her students learn.
