Study: Advisers can improve financial outlook for the poor

Low-income families can improve their financial outlook with the help of professional advice, although many don't seek a financial adviser's help, according to a study from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Getting help from a professional adviser was among the behaviors that led to such families saving for emergencies and having a regular savings plan, according to the study.
