Australia could expand programme for gifted students

Australia is reacting to reports issued last year that the country's schools were not doing enough to serve the brightest students. Now, plans are underway for the possible expansion of Select Entry Accelerated Learning -- allowing schools to determine if they will offer the programme, which gives students who are gifted the opportunity to complete Grades 7 to 10 in three years instead of four.
