Can Orbital run rings around Elon Musk?

Orbital Sciences has successfully tested a freight rocket capable of carrying supplies to the International Space Station, presenting the first serious challenge to SpaceX's dominance of the private space-freight niche. Still, experts say SpaceX remains better placed in the long run because founder Elon Musk ensured his system could also be upgraded to carry people into space, a feature that Orbital's launcher lacks.
