Commander warns of downsizing at Lewis-McChord

Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state could see troop reductions of up to 8,000 soldiers along with an unspecified number of civilian employees because of budget cuts, says I Corps commander Lt. Gen. Robert Brown. Final decisions on the downsizing will be made this summer, he noted. The base has about 47,900 active-duty personnel.
