Higher CAC scores raise mortality risk in diabetes, analysis shows

Type 2 diabetes patients with a coronary artery calcium score of greater than or equal to 10 were at an increased risk of cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality compared with those who had lower CAC scores, a systematic review and meta-analysis indicated. The findings were published in BMJ.
