Internet-based programs boost outcomes in young diabetes patients

Young type 1 diabetes patients who underwent both the TeenCope or Managing Diabetes Internet-based psycho-educational programs showed improvements in quality of life and hemoglobin A1C levels at one year, according to a study in Diabetes Care. Researchers said the findings suggest that youth need diabetes management education as well as behavioral interventions.
