ITriage app enables patients to easily connect to Providence's ED

A partnership among Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro, the Providence Medical Institute Manhattan Beach Urgent Care clinic and iTriage enables patients to easily access information on the specialties and services offered at the health facilities' emergency departments through a free smartphone application. The iTriage app has several features -- including mapping technology, GPS and a symptoms checker -- that help patients seek the most appropriate care. "It offers the ability to let us know to expect someone heading to the hospital and what their complaints are, a special function of this collaboration with iTriage," said Providence San Pedro CEO Nancy Carlson.
