Wick Moorman, president of Norfolk Southern, is expected to testify at the House Transportation and Infrastructure hearing on Wednesday. The hearing is set to help figure out what is needed to create a " '21st century' freight transportation system." The meeting comes after the creation of a panel that hopes to strengthen freight transportation. "The smooth movement of cargo across all these modes of transportation is essential in keeping our economy moving, which is why this panel’s task of improving the efficiency of our interconnected freight network takes on such importance," said Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W. Va.
