MWAA releases details of bids for Va.'s Dulles rail project

Capital Rail Constructors, which includes Kiewit Infrastructure Group and Clark Construction, submitted the lowest bid -- $1.18 billion -- among five to build the second phase of Metro’s Silver Line rail extension in Virginia, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Bechtel submitted the next lowest bid. All five bids came in under what the MWAA had estimated, which was $1.4 billion to $1.6 billion. The authority must now evaluate all five proposals.
