Report identifies ways to save $560B in health care spending

A report by the Bipartisan Policy Center Health Care Cost Containment Initiative outlines four major recommendations it says could save $560 billion in U.S. health care spending over 10 years. Medicare improvements, changes in tax policy, a better framework for quality and preventive care, and state-based reforms addressing fraud, dual eligibles and more are needed to "pursue a more coordinated, accountable and sustainable healthcare system," according to the report.
