Research group allows IHIE subsidiary to use clinical data software

An Indiana Health Information Exchange subsidiary has secured a licensing deal with Regenstrief Institute, which enables the HIE to use the medical research group's Indiana Network for Patient Care and DOCS4DOCS clinical results delivery platform. "This licensing agreement represents the single most significant transfer of discovery out of an academic medical informatics research setting to a commercial enterprise in the history of Indiana's health information technology sector and the national evolution of health information exchange," according to Regenstrief Institute.
