School-based health movement expands in L.A.

Officials in Los Angeles last week opened a new wellness center on a high-school campus, which will serve the school population as well as the neighboring community. Dr. Felix Aguilar, president and CEO of UMMA Community Clinic, which will operate the clinic, said, "We're trying to integrate both the healthy eating with access to primary care; we're also integrating it with education because it's inside a high school."
