Starcom, Twitter strike a deal to explore social TV

Twitter has signed a deal, thought to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, with Starcom MediaVest Group. The two companies will work together to develop new ways of fusing Twitter and television. "This is what the company has been talking about for really the last year," said Laura Desmond, Starcom's global chief executive. "We're into a new marketing era. It's the era of convergence, across all screens."
