Tumblr goes native with new mobile-app ads

Tumblr will begin adding native ads to its mobile applications, marking the first time that the company has used ad formats that appear similar to users' own blog posts, a tactic designed to encourage users to comment on, "like" or repost a promoted post as they would any other. Brands including General Electric, Warner Bros. and ABC signed up to run mobile campaigns through the service.
