Financial planners must be as efficient as possible, but they should take care not to burden clients with extra work, writes Michael Kitces. For instance, think carefully before asking clients to travel to see you or before shifting the bulk of the data-gathering process to them. Consider using technology solutions for meetings so that no one has to travel, he writes.
