AOL Internet Faces Cable Competition

Cable companies are exploring tiered pricing and bargain broadband, which could provide always-on high-speed access for a few dollars more per month than dial-up, making such services as AOL obsolete, reports say. AOL Time Warner is said to be refocusing its efforts on ways to make the online unit more competitive.
