South Dakota urology clinic responds to allegations

The Siouxland Urology Center in South Dakota has released a statement, saying it disagrees with a state health officials' finding that its "prior procedure resulted in any meaningful risk of exposure of our patients to blood borne illness." The center last week warned around 6,000 of its patients that they may have been exposed to HIV, hepatitis and other blood-borne diseases after undergoing cystoscopy that reused single-use tubing and saline bags.
