BBVA partners with Christie's to show clients rare artwork

BBVA recently gave affluent clients a chance to view privately held works by famous impressionists such as Claude Monet in a partnership event with Christie's auction house. Many of the bank's clients are looking for help managing art, antiques, jewelry, fine wine and other collectibles, said Steve Sanak of BBVA Compass. "It's really like an alternative asset class," he said. The partnership gives those clients access to Christie's expertise on the collections.
