Boston coverage lifts Fox News to cable-ratings win

Fox News Channel led all cable networks last week during its coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings, its first weekly victory since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Fox News during the week of April 15 to 21 beat perennial cable ratings leader USA Network in prime-time, garnering 2.874 million viewers on average to USA's 2.621 million and CNN's 1.985 million. Fox News also ranked first in total day, topping Nickelodeon and CNN.
