China's lawmakers may move to protect online shoppers

Lawmakers in China may consider amending existing consumer-protection laws to cover online transactions, officials said Tuesday. A draft of the amendment includes a seven-day period in which consumers can return online purchases for a refund, and request a refund from the online platform if the seller no longer trades there.
