Clinical Practice Guidelines for Quality Palliative Care available

National Consensus Project for Quality Palliative Care third edition of Clinical Practice Guidelines for Quality Palliative Care was recently released. The emphasis of this edition is on continuity, consistency and quality of care. The guidelines reflect the continuing maturation of the field, changes in practice, along with developments in the palliative care evidence base and outcomes research. The collaborative consensus process continues between AAHPM, CAPC, HPNA and NPCRC; organizational members of the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care; as well as the National Association of Social Workers and NHPCO.
