Closed-end fund aims to offer nontraded REIT investors liquidity

The newly organized REIT Exchange Fund, a closed-end fund, hopes to provide investors in nontraded real estate investment trusts an option for obtaining liquidity. The fund's plan is to exchange its shares, which will be publicly traded, for shares of some REITs that are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission but not traded on an exchange.
