Eco-chic hotels put guests in charge of going green

The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, N.C., uses its EVOLVE energy-management system to enable guests to go green. Using in-room tablets, the luxury hotel lets guests manage light, temperature and entertainment. Another eco-luxury hotel is the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji, which uses recycled water to nourish its fruit trees, organic herb and vegetable gardens.
