GE turns to additive manufacturing for engine nozzle

A new aircraft engine from GE will have a fuel nozzle that's printed via additive manufacturing, parting from the usual process of casting and welding. GE last year acquired two companies with expertise in automated precision manufacturing of metals, and the nozzle could mark the beginning of wider application of 3D printing for GE.
