IAB joins in push-back against online child data measure

The Interactive Advertising Bureau and the Applications Developers Alliance requested a six-month delay to the implementation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, drawing an angry response from privacy advocates. An "unwarranted" delay would harm children and "undermine the goals of both Congress and the FTC," according to a letter sent by 19 privacy groups.
