Mini-crane advances work to replace damaged crane atop NYC tower

A mini-crane is helping take down the tower crane at the top of the One57 tower under construction in New York City. The tower crane, which had been bolted to a mast 1,000 feet up, was damaged during Superstorm Sandy. The compact mini-crane -- which is operating from the building's roof -- has a computer on board and is equipped with remote controls. Eventually, it will lift the damaged "150-foot-long boom to the top of the tower."
