Nonmelanoma skin cancer linked to further cancer risk

An analysis of data from the Nurses' Health Study and the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study found that white men and women with a history of nonmelanoma skin cancer had an 15% and 26% greater risk of developing other forms of cancer later in life, respectively. The findings, published in the journal PLoS Medicine, showed a link but not a causal relationship.
