Plastic surgeon brings comic relief to Peruvian children

Plastic surgeon Jeffrey Weinzweig founded Komedyplast to repair facial deformities in Peruvian children. The group puts a twist on conventional plastic surgery missions by partnering with members of Caring Clowns International to ease children's fears before surgery. During their visits, teams perform up to 20 surgeries, some of which are so complex they involve splitting children's skulls, Weinzweig said.
