Rats prompt temporary shutdown of a cooling system at Japan plant

Cooling operations at one of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant's used-fuel storage pools were stopped after workers found two dead rats near a transformer, according to Tokyo Electric Power. The system was restored after four hours, a company spokesman said. A rodent problem also was the apparent cause of a power outage at the facility last month.
