Regulator criticizes "senior designations" for financial products

Using "senior designations" for a variety of financial and insurance products can be confusing and misleading for consumers, the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said. The CFPB urged states and the federal government to coordinate to establish strict training standards and criteria for such designations to help "consumers to distinguish between different designations' qualifications or legitimacy."
