Retirees take control of retirement savings through franchising

More workers are turning to franchising as a way to finance retirement, as traditional methods of saving diminish. Joe Prendergrass, who owns multiple Penn Station East Coast Subs restaurants in Virginia with his daughter, said his franchising approach to retirement savings has already yielded a 30% return on his investment. Franchisees of CertaPro Painters and Pillar to Post are also pursuing franchising as a means to save for retirement.
