Robot directors steal the show in upcoming documentary

An enterprising new filmmaking project is turning the tables on human-machine interaction by putting robots in charge on the set. The BlabDroid project, which is part of this year's Tribeca Film Festival, features smiling mini robots designed by a former MIT Media Lab graduate student that engage humans with candid questions on a number of revealing topics. The bots could also be put to use in less creative settings, including as wedding videographers.
